Does DaVinci work with ELM327 or OBD2 dongles?
No. DaVinci modifies ECU binary files — it requires a professional ECU reading tool such as KTag, Kess V2, KT200 or BDM100 to extract and reflash the ECU. ELM327 adapters are not sufficient.
Which ECU reading tools work with DaVinci?
KTag, Kess V2, Kess3, KT200, BDM100, BDM Frame and PCMFlash. Any tool that produces a raw .bin ECU dump file will work.
Can I run DaVinci in VMware or VirtualBox?
No. DaVinci uses a hardware ID lock that reads your CPU ID, HDD serial number and machine name. Virtual machines present fake hardware identifiers that are blocked — you will see the error: No Virtual IMG Created. Use a physical Windows PC.
What .NET version is required?
.NET Framework 4.7.2 or higher. Install it from Microsoft before running DaVinci if it is not already present on your system.
Does DaVinci support AdBlue removal?
Yes. The AdBlue toggle is available in the Solutions panel alongside DPF, EGR, TVA, MAF, Lambda, Flaps and Start/Stop.
What ECUs are supported?

My antivirus deletes the EXE — what do I do?
Add the DaVinci folder to your antivirus exclusions before extracting the RAR. ECU tuning tools are commonly flagged as false positives because of low-level hardware and file access.
How do I confirm DPF and EGR were successfully removed?
DaVinci shows confirmation in the log panel: DPF/EAF deactivated with success and EGR deactivated with success. After writing back to the ECU, clear fault codes with a diagnostic tool and perform a test drive to verify no DPF or EGR-related DTCs return.
Can I restore the original ECU if something goes wrong?
Yes — if you saved the original backup .bin file before modifying. Always do this. Write the original file back with your reading tool to restore factory ECU settings.
