ODIS Service 25 is the official dealer diagnostic software for the entire Volkswagen Group. If you work on VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Cupra, Porsche, Lamborghini, or Bentley vehicles, ODIS is the only tool with full OEM-level access to every module, function, and calibration routine.
What Is ODIS Service?
ODIS (Offboard Diagnostic Information System) Service is the Volkswagen Group’s official workshop diagnostic platform. It replaced the older VAS-PC system and is now standard at all VAG dealerships worldwide. Every authorized VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda workshop uses ODIS Service for fault diagnosis, module coding, adaptations, and guided repair procedures.
ODIS Service 25 vs ODIS Engineering 19 β Key Differences
- ODIS Service 25 β the workshop tool. Reads/clears fault codes, runs guided fault-finding (GFF), performs module coding, long adaptations, basic settings, and flashing. Used daily in VAG dealerships.
- ODIS Engineering 19 β the development/calibration tool. Provides raw ECU parameter access, advanced measurement blocks, hex data editing, and engineering-level functions not available in ODIS Service. Used by VAG engineers and tuners.
The VMware package includes both β giving you complete VAG diagnostic and engineering capability in a single pre-configured virtual machine.

Once ODIS has completed ECU diagnostics, you may still need to handle instrument cluster calibration or service interval reprogramming through EEPROM access. The Dashboard Service Tool v1.8 handles these operations directly, complementing ODIS for full workshop coverage across VW Group and 200+ other brands.
